Rio Tinto and the Port of Saguenay
Rio Tinto’s port facilities are the gateway to raw materials for the production of aluminium in Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean. They are essential to the regional value chain by ensuring the continuous supply of raw materials, 365 days a year. Located in the centre of the city, the port facilities are the heart of the ‘’La Baie’’ community, with the advantages and disadvantages that come with this proximity. Every day, the team is challenged to fulfill its primary mission within the value chain while cohabiting with its many stakeholders. We will be doing an overview of the components essential to the further development of our facilities, which have been part of the La Baie landscape for nearly 100 years.

Who better to help us end the conference on a creative note with, as we consider how multisectoral collaboration drives innovation. In their words: “What do a video game, opthalmology and the science of neurology have in common? What about museums and Assassin’s Creed? What about a toothbrush and virtual economy? In a word : innovation! At Ubisoft, we believe that it is possible to create innovative projects and help various industrial sectors evolve through cross-cutting collaboration.
